Lord Krishna inside the form of Radha Raman Ji β the self-manifested deity (Swayambhu Murti) who embodies both Radha and Krishna in one form.
ποΈ Radha Raman Temple History
The temple was established in 1542 AD by Gopala Bhatta Goswami, one of the six Goswamis of Vrindavan and a close associate of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Legend says Gopala Bhatta had a dream where Lord Krishna instructed him to dip his Shaligram Shilas into the Yamuna. One of them transformed miraculously into the Radha Raman idol.
Unlike most temples, there is no separate idol of Radha Rani; a crown placed beside the Lord symbolizes Her presence.
π Architectural Significance
The temple showcases classic Rajasthani architecture with intricate carvings and a peaceful courtyard.
It is one of the few temples in Vrindavan where the original deity is still worshipped in its original form, without any damage or replacement.
